YOUR COMPANY IS NOW MORE SUSTAINABLE WITH WASTESPRESSO!
We produce bioplastic compounds and products from spent coffee grounds.
Wastespresso is an upcycling company that uses coffee waste. At Wastespresso, we manage micro wastes of the companies that produce coffee waste (headquarters, hotels, cafes, offices, restaurants, etc.) regularly. With our sustainable technological infrastructure, we upcycle the coffee wastes that we are managing. By this means, we are producing bio raw materials such as disposable/reusable cups, straws, flower pots, spoons, etc for the packaging and plastics industries and also customized parts for sectors such as home appliances, white goods, automotive, etc. In this way, Wastespresso helps companies to comply with various regulations by helping them to produce or use environmentally friendly products.

WHY SPENT COFFEE GROUNDS?
More than 2.5 billion cups of coffee are consumed in the world every day, and only 1.2% of these consumed coffees are recycled. The global population, which is estimated to reach 9.8 billion by 2050, is expected to triple coffee production as the demand for coffee is increasing. Considering the size of the waste that has been created and will continue to be generated, some data are worrying. Research by The Arbor Day Foundation reveals that one kilo of roasted coffee produces an average of 11 kilos of carbon. Only 1 ton of coffee waste generated, on the other hand, emits methane emissions as much as 340 m3 and harms both our environment and living things. Wastespresso is trying to solve the plastic waste problem with this huge coffee waste and reduce the carbon footprint of many different sectors.
